Cleopatra’s reign was from 51-30 B.C.
In 30 B.C. the Romans took over Egypt, which was why Cleopatra’s reign came to an end.
During her reign, Cleopatra was well known for her use of female dancers, and when she came to Rome, her dancers dressed like mermaids and goddesses, impressing Mark Antony of Rome, who she later married.
Cleopatra was trained to be queen when she went through puberty, as all royal girls were, and knew six different languages and she knew mathematics, philosophy, art, music, and medicine, talents that she would use when she was pharaoh.
Cleopatra was born in 69B.C. so she was 18 when she was made queen of Egypt.
Cleopatra, in 31B.C., had a son with Julius Caesar, named Caesarian.
She served as a coregent for her younger brother Ptolemy XIII, who was 10 at the time, and Cleopatra held the reigns of politics for many years.
